New project award to carry out works supervision for infrastructure schemes in three municipalities in the north of Kosovo

Eptisa will be responsible for the implementation of three transport and buildings projects

Eptisa has been awarded a new project in Kosovo to carry out the supervision of construction works for infrastructure schemes in three northern municipalities of the country financed by European Union funds. More specifically, the project will be implemented in the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Zvecan and north Mitrovica until May 2018.

The overall objective of the project is to support a more balanced regional development in Kosovo through improving municipal social and economic infrastructure, the quality of life by providing improved conditions and better facilities to residents, and economic development of Kosovo municipalities. These objectives shall be achieved by the successful implementation of small to medium infrastructure projects, capacity building and training of staff in the municipalities.

Eptisa will assume the function of supervisor as is set out in PRAG Conditions and rules, during the implementation of the works contracts in the three municipalities and be responsible for the full implementation of the project and its specific activities, providing technical assistance to the Contracting Authority on supervision of works, including Defect Liability Period, on the following three municipal infrastructures:

  • Reconstruction of the regional road from Zubin Potok to the village Dren with planned implementation period of eight calendar months;
  • Construction of the sport hall in Zveçan/Zvečan with planned implementation period of twelve calendar months;
  • Construction of the Municipal Building in north Mitrovica with planned implementation period of twelve calendar months.
