Inauguration of the C-5 line of the Local Train of Seville

The new line has linked Seville with Benacazon and has 6 new stations

Last Sunday, 27 March, the Spanish Minister of Public Works, José Blanco, and the President of the Junta de Andalucia, José Antonio Griñán inaugurated the new C-5 line of the Local Train Network of Seville, which links this city to Benacazon.

This new section has 32 kilometers of conventional line and six new stations, 4 of which are new construction buildings (Camas, Valencina-Santiponce, Salteras and Benacazón) and two are the refurbishing of historic buildings in the existing stations (Villanueva del Ariscal-Olivares and Sanlúcar la Mayor).

Eptisa carried out the construction design, that includes operations on infrastructure and track superstructure, such as electrical supply, security and communication facilities, buildings and access from different places where provides service. Also, Eptisa carried out the quality control of the works.

The new railway line will serve a population of about 100,000 in the Aljarafe region, who will be able to travel to Seville free from the traffic jams produced daily in rush hours.
