Eptisa was awarded their first project in Vietnam, in the City of Dong Hoi a coastal and fishing town in North Central Vietnam. This is the second phase of Coastal Cities Environmental Sanitation Programme, that will benefit a population of 112,000 in the city, and has a budget of 1,150,000 USD financed by the World Bank.

Given environmental and health hazards for residents and the obstacle this represents for the economic development of Vietnam, it has become an increasing concern and priority.

From March, Eptisa will be implementing the second Phase of the Coastal Cities Environmental Sanitation programme with 39 months duration, which overall objective is to improve to quality of water in the area.

The first phase, completed in August 2010, included drainage works in the Dong My, Nam Ly and Dong Phu areas; wastewater collection in Dong My and Hai Dinh Wards; and dredging and embankment improvement works along the Cau Rao River, Phong Thuy Channel and Nam Ly Lake.

As part of the Phase II, Eptisa will continue the flood protection and drainage work commenced under Phase I, further develop the construction of sewers network, interceptors and wastewater collection, build a wastewater treatment plant of 10,000 m3/d aerated lagoon system, and develop an improved system for solid waste management.
