Eptisa will provide technical assistance for the design and management of the project for the extension and rehabilitation of water infrastructure in Romania

Eptisa signed a new contract to provide management support to the water and wastewater operator for Botosany County, S.C. NOVA APARSEV S.A. for the successful project implementation until May 2016

The project "Extension and modernisation of the water supply and sewage - wastewater treatment systems in Botosani County" consists of investments for the drinking water treatment and distribution network, as well as for wastewater collection and treatment. The result will be the connection of the inhabitants to the network, in compliance with the relevant EU directives.

As a Consultant, Eptisa will provide management support to the Contracting Authority, having as result an increased institutional capacity of projects implementation. The services provided by Eptisa will include: elaboration of the permitting documentation; technical and legal support during public procurement procedures; technical assistance as designer during works execution; update the Master Plan for the water supply and sewage system, including the priority investment plans for 2014 – 2018; update the management strategy of the sludge resulted from the technological process from the treatment stations and provide adequate project publicity.

The project represents an important step for the improvement of the water supply and sewerage networks, by covering 4 agglomerations for the rehabilitation and constructions of the sewage infrastructure: Botosani, Dorohoi, Flamanzi, Vorona and 5 areas for improvement of the water supply system: Botosani, Dorohoi, Flamanzi, Vorona, Stefanesti-Saveni and will consist of the following activities: construction of a culvert pipe from Prut water source, construction of a water treatment and of a sludge line for the existing treatment plants, rehabilitation and extension of the water supply networks, rehabilitation and extension of the wastewater collector and treatment systems.

This is the second project which Eptisa implements in Botosani County. The first one is "Technical assistance for works and procurement contracts supervision within the project - Integrated wastes management system in Botosani County" curretly under development - from September 2011 to March 2018.
