Eptisa will carry out the works supervision of Nudo de Bobadilla section in the High Speed Railway Line Antequera - Granada

Eptisa, in consortium with Inserco, has been recently awarded the assistance services contract for the works supervision of the platform of the Nudo de Bobadillas section, Phase I, in Malaga belonging to the Antequera-Granada High Speed Railway and with 11.3 km. long.

The contract with ADIF has a budget of three million euros and its main objective is to provide technical support services for the supervision, monitoring and coordination of safety in the infrastructure works until the platform has been completed, that at present is in building works.

Moreover, this section is a key point because when the phase II with 6.2 km. will be completed, it will act as a link between the lines from Antequera to Granada and Malaga to Cordoba, making possible the interconnexion from Granada to Madrid and Malaga.

The viaduct over the Guadalhorce River with 380 m. long; two viaducts over the Bobadilla-Granada conventional railway with 485 and 647 m. long respectively; three overpasses, two underpasses and the replacement of the conventional line Seville - Granada with 1.2 km. long stand out between the singular elements in its route. As well two new intermediate stations are planned in Antequera (Malaga) and Loja (Granada) and a new high speed line station in Granada.

The Antequera - Granada High Speed Railway Line, that will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union through the Operational Programme Cohesion Fund-ERDF 2007-2013, has 125.6 km long of electrified double track with international width (UIC). This line is included in the General Interest Railway Network as a high features line.
