Eptisa supervises the rehabilitation works on the runway at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince

The project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, will last for 13 months

The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communication of Haiti has awarded Eptisa a new contract to carry out the supervision of rehabilitation works on the runway at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, with an area of 130,720 m2. The project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, will last for 13 months.

Eptisa will provide the services of supervision of rehabilitation works in order to ensure adequate control over the execution of the works promoted by the Ministry of Public Works Transport and Communication, the National Airport Authority and the Central Implementation Unit.

The main activities carried out by Eptisa will consist of:

  • Verification of the adequacy of detailed plans for the scope of work and all other available data that could affect the proper conduct of the work.
  • The establishment of quality control system, according to international standards and good practice in supervision of construction work.
  • The establishment of a monitoring organization for effective management; supervision; control of the amount, the programming of the work of management and contract administration.
  • Supervision and control of site installations, compatibility and suitability as to the type, quantity, and their condition in order to achieve results within the agreed period.
  • Supervision and control of work while implementing the Quality Assurance contractor's Plan.
  • Control and approval of materials and methods of implementation and quantities used.
  • Control and monitoring of the implementation of Environmental Protection Plan and of the Plan of Hygiene and Work Area Safety.
  • Controlling the handling of hazardous materials and Waste Management.
  • Control of management of the Central Asphalt and air emissions and noise.
  • Presentation of regular reports to the Customer, UCE, OFNAC, AAN and BID.
