The Spanish public company Bidegi, S.A. has awarded to Eptisa a new contract to provide construction management and technical assistance to construction management services during the construction of the Integral Transport Center of Astigarraga.

The project of the new Integral Transport Center was born thanks to the fact that Bidegi, in its intention to improve the needs of the users of the road infrastructures of Gipuzkoa, wrote a complementary project to the detailed design of the second belt of Donostia - San Sebastian. This will provide to said infrastructure with an area that will provide service to road users, as this belt has contributed to the improvement in the displacement of a significant percentage of heavy traffic.

The designed Integral Transport Center, with a total area of 8.9 ha, will be located on the Bilbao-Irun road of the AP-8/AP-1 highway, within the municipality of Astigarraga and between the Txoritokieta false tunnel and the Aginaztegi tunnel.

It will be formed by two new access roads and a roundabout to access the Integral Center, a platform of 2.6 hectares for 394 parking spaces for heavy vehicles, a light vehicle parking for staff in the services and suppliers building, and a plot of 0.5 ha reserved to host the services that will be offered in this Integral Center. The rest of the surface will include a plot for equipment, a future hotel and conditioning of surplus land.
