Since November 2016 Eptisa is working on a new project in the water sector aimed to increase clean water access in various provinces of Vietnam.
This contract is part of a sector wide investment program linked to a multi-tranche financing facility approved by the Asian Development Bank that covers Binh Duong Province, Dak Lak Province, Da Nang City, Hai Phong City, Thua Thien Hue Province, and Quang Tri Province.
The projects expected output is to increase water supply expansion to reach a coverage of 90% by 2020 through improving business planning, asset and financial management, and by reducing non-revenue water.
The project comprises the construction of a raw water intake and a pumping station, raw water pipeline, a 35,000 m3/d water treatment plant in Buon Ma Thuot, a booster pump station and laying a 222.5 km transmission and distribution pipeline network. In addition, three small water supply projects will be undertaken in district Towns EaKar, Buon Don and Krong Nang with capacities of 2,500, 1,000 and 1,600 m3/d respectively.
Eptisa is providing construction supervision and management services, as well as of quality assurance standards to assist the water operator DAKWACO, acting as the Employers Representative, for the water treatment plant and transmission main program construction contracts, under FIDIC conditions.
Additionally, Eptisa will provide institutional strengthening and technical assistance to DAKWACO in the implementation of a non-revenue water pilot program, management strategy and to carry out the safeguards monitoring activities.
