Eptisa carries out the technical and socio-environmental supervision of the construction works of the road from San José de Chiquitos to San Ignacio de Velasco in Bolivia

The project will be implemented for 49 months on a 200-kilometer section

The Bolivian Highway Administration (ABC) awarded Eptisa, in consortium with the Bolivian company CYPLA, the “Technical and Socio-Environmental Supervision of the construction works of the San José de Chiquitos - San Ignacio de Velasco road” contract, with an expected duration of 49 months from May 2019. The China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltda. company will be responsible for the construction of the road, with an amount of USD 230 million financed by the World Bank.

The first road section “San José de Chiquitos - San Ignacio de Velasco” was built in the 70s, and today it is considered as a national priority within the Road Plan of the Bolivian Highway Administration, thus integrating the Department of Santa Cruz in the context of the national economy.

The section is part of the Route F-017 of the Fundamental Road Network of Bolivia, with an approximate length of 202 km. It is located in the Department of Santa Cruz and covers the Provinces of Chiquitos, with the Municipality of San José de Chiquitos, and Velasco, with the Municipalities of San Ignacio de Velasco, San Miguel de Velasco and San Rafael.

The section has a platform width of 13.00 meters and a lane width of 7 meters with two 3.5-meter lanes (roundtrip), with berms of 2.50 m. on each side of the road.
