CAMINA, Almeria's Innovative Urban Action for social integration through access and participation in the city's cultural assets, was the only Spanish city selected by the EU in the fifth call for proposals of the European initiative that rewards the most innovative cities.

The design of the proposal has been made by EPTISA and Khora Urban Thinkers, together with the Municipal Society Almería 2030.

Almeria is one of the 11 European cities selected (and the only Spanish one) in the fifth and last call of the innovative urban actions initiative from more than 200 applications submitted. CAMINA project, presented by the City Council of Almeria under the theme of "Culture and Heritage" has a budget of 5,455,864.70 euros of which 4,364,691.76 euros will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

CAMINA (Community Awakening for Multicultural Integrative Narrative of Almeria) aims to connect citizen groups and urban spaces through access and participation in cultural activities taking advantage of the diverse heritage of the city. CAMINA is an integrated initiative that seeks to rediscover the values of cultural diversity and its positive effects on social integration.
