Description

Mission:

Support to AUC for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the Electricity Harmonization Regulatory Strategy and Action Plan

Overall objective of this mission:

Development of a harmonized electricity market in Africa by supporting the AUC/Department of Infrastructure and Energy (DIE) in implementing and monitoring actions foreseen in the adopted Electricity Harmonization Regulatory Strategy and Action Plan.

Specific Role of this position:

  • Drafts communication material and sets up and executes the dissemination plan.
  • Planning and managing all logistics issues for meetings, workshops and study tours
  • Assisting participants with VISA applications, if needed.
  • Booking and paying for all logistical items for travel, accommodation, and subsistence.
  • Assisting NKE1
  • Contribution to the development of the Deliverables under the guidance of the Team Leader

Minimum requirements

Qualification and skills

  • University degree in a relevant discipline, preferably at Master's level;
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential;
  • Residing in Addis Ababa is required

Professional experience

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in preparing relevant material, i.e. press releases, summary of proceedings, workshop outcome documents;
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in organizing workshops, seminars, training sessions or other events is an asset
  • Experience in Africa or in other similar contexts is a significant asset
  • Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an advantage.

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating dialogue and participatory processes.
