Support to AUC for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the Electricity Harmonization Regulatory Strategy and Action Plan

Overall objective of this mission:

Development of a harmonized electricity market in Africa by supporting the AUC/Department of Infrastructure and Energy (DIE) in implementing and monitoring actions foreseen in the adopted Electricity Harmonization Regulatory Strategy and Action Plan.

Specific Role of this position:

Contribution to the development of the Deliverables under the guidance of the Team Leader.

Minimum requirements

Qualification and skills

  • University degree in Economics
  • A Master’s degree in an energy related area will be a significant advantage
  • Excellent working knowledge of English and good knowledge of French

Professional experience

  • Minimum 7 years of general professional experience
  • Working with continental and regional energy stakeholders in Africa is a significant advantage
  • Experience in market information analysis the energy sector, particularly energy efficiency is a significant advantage
  • Experience in communication of EU funded assignments.
  • Experience in market analysis in the energy sector is a significant advantage
  • Experience in the development and cooperation sector with DEVCO or other international partners is a significant advantage

Other skills

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating dialogue and participatory processes.
