Description

By drawing upon the framework of the main outlines of the PESS 2007-2012 (Mozambique's Health Care Sector Strategic Plan) and the 10th European Development Fund for Mozambique, the overall objective of this project is to strengthen and develop the planning, management, and evaluation process in the health care sector, placing particular emphasis on infrastructures, as well as human, material, and financial resources. This will help improve the population's health conditions by equitably expanding high-quality basic health care services.

More specifically, the aim of the project is to strengthen the management and administration capacities of the health care sector within the framework of on-going reforms and in line with the efforts of the Public Administration reform. The MISAU has prioritized the following aspects:

  • Administration (within the framework of decentralization).
  • Management of material (equipment, medicines…), logistical, and maintenance resources.
  • Management of Human Resources.
