Description

The project involves the development of a Geospatial Information System for the management of water supply and sanitation infrastructures in the cities of Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Poti, Mameuli, Anaklia and Mestia. Eptisa had collected water and sanitation asset data for the six cities, and integrated them in a database and developed a Web Based Geographic Information System for further planning and development of WSS Infrastructures.

Activity

To this end Eptisa will carry out the following tasks:

  • Creation of base maps for integration of the spatial layers.
  • Water Supply and Sewerage asset inventory.
  • Development of consumer database and link it with GIS.
  • Development of a web based Water Supply and Sanitation Utility Management System based on the on the different user profiles and current environments that are expected to access the system.
    • Water Agency: A centralized GIS server will be installed in the agency
    • Users in the different cities: any user will have access the GIS system through a GIS visor covering a similar set of tools than one’s in the agency. The only difference is that, for the cities, each one will only be allowed to access data from the own municipality while the agency is authorised to access all of them.
